DESCRIZIONE:
An extraordinary series of 9 panels created for the school of Saint Ursula, commissioned by a branch of the Loredan family heavily involved in the Turkish wars. It tells of the princess from Brittany who was promised to an english prince. She was killed along with her court of virgins by the Huns, here, disguised as Turks with the flag of Mohamed. The painting celebrates the glories of the Loredan family.
