The Basilica of St. Mary of the Altar of Heaven
The section remaining in the third chapel on the lefthand aisle is what is left of an entire series realized by one of the most famous students of Beato Angelico. In the fresco, the disciple of Saint Francis of Assisi stands holding the flame of his faith and a book, while two angels hold a curtain with a starry night painted on it. In the lower section, at prayer, are the couple who commissioned the work.
