The splendid work, one of the masterpieces of art in Rome of the Middle Ages, is made of a base with anthromorphic figures and different superimposed scenes showing The Story of the Passion and Resurrection of Christ.
THINGS TO KNOW: The candle, lit for the Easter liturgy of Holy Saturday is a sort of physical representation of the image mentioned in the hymm Esultet of “column of fire”.
