Marignana Arte is a new space devoted to contemporary art in Dorsoduro, Venice. This Sestier has a history of continuity with visual arts. Since the end of the Second World War and after the settlement of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Dorsoduro became the engine of the contemporary art that led to the best expressions of the artistic Vanguards of Venice. The latters created a dialogue and influenced other artistic movements both in Italy and internationally. The opening of new contemporary spaces such as Punta della Dogana and Vedova Foundation completed the sense of identification that Dorsoduro feels towards contemporary art.
The Gallery integrates itself in this contest with a program of exhibitions that would reflect the most recent artistic researches, internationally as well.
