Historical Navy Museum of Venice
The museum is housed in a building of the late sixteenth century, formerly used as a barn and then as a stock of biscuits for the Navy. It houses an important collection of models and relics of ancient Venetian navy and of the Italian Navy. The collection is based on the idea of the House of Models, commissioned by the government of Venice since the seventeenth century to preserve models of ships built at the Arsenale.
