Milan - Creating of a major narration of Milan and Italy as a whole to promote the image of our country abroad. This is the objective of the cultural initiatives chosen by the city to introduce Expo 2015, the Universal Exhibition that will take place from May 1st to October 31st next year.

That result is a new project, which was recently presented in Milan during the meeting "La cultura per Expo, Expo per la cultura." The idea is to select a work of art work of art located in Milan for each month of the universal exposition to be promoted as a symbol of Italian excellence.

Among the six works of art imagined, two were already anticipated: "The Kiss" by Francesco Hayez - a 19th-century painting from the Pinacoteca di Brera - and the "Last Supper" by Leonardo, painted by the master at the end of the 15th century in the hall of the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie.

"We aim at recreate, through a form of narrative, the historical and cultural identity of Milan. We can do this only if we start from some symbols" said Filippo Del Corno, Director of Culture for Milan, .
These milanese symbols represent the local and italian excellence through a story, and will have to redirect the interest of the audience toward the Expo.
