Hall of Galatea
Il nome della Sala di Galatea a Villa Farnesina trae origine dal suo affresco più celebre: il Trionfo di Galatea realizzato da Raffaello Sanzio.

The Hall of Galatea at Villa Farnesina is next to the Loggia of Love and Psyche. The hall was decorated from 1512-1513. Among his most celebrated frescoes: The Triumph of Galatea by Raphael, which represents the nymph on a conch pulled by dolphins. Next to this work is Polyphemus, the first work in Rome by Sebastiano del Piombo, who also created eight of the ten lunettes in the hall. On the vaulted ceiling is the horoscope of Agostino Chigi, a fresco by Baldassarre Peruzzi.
