DESCRIZIONE:
It is part of an exhibition on childhood, winding through some examples of Italian sculpture between the 1930s and 1950s. Formal elegance rooted in the classical period marks the works by Umberto Mastroianni (Nudo di giovinetto) and Arturo Martini (Ragazzo) as well as Ragazzo seduto by Francesco Messina, representation of an idealized childhood and of such a "return to order" in the art field as theorised in those years.
