The Parlour of the Monastery of San Zaccaria
Ca’ Rezzonico – Museum of XVIII-century Venetian art
The painting is “a look inside” which shows, with great detail and joyousness, the visiting hall of the monastery of San Zaccaria. The monastery was home to the education of the children of the most important venetian families and the meeting with family members is depicted as a party with puppet shows for the children.
